Mountain land donated by actor Warren Beatty and television personality Dick Clark will be used to extend a growing network of public hiking trails between the San Fernando Valley and the coast, according to officials of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. Beatty has donated a 20-acre area of Dixie Canyon south of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks for public use and conservancy officials said the area will be renamed “Warren Beatty Park.” Clark has turned over 54 acres near Malibu Creek State Park south of Thousand Oaks.
