Lynwood : Medical Clinic Dedicated
Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley visited Lynwood on Monday to help dedicate a group medical practice. Bradley participated in a dedication ceremony for the St. Francis Care Medical Group at the Imperial-StockwellCommercial Center, 3680 E. Imperial Highway.
Lynwood Mayor Paul Richards, city councilmen and other city officials as well as St. Francis Medical Center officials attended the dedication.
Three years ago, Bradley attended the opening of the group’s medical practice in downtown Los Angeles headed by Dr. Leonardo A. Berezovsky, a major partner in the St. Francis Care group, said Erica Gardner, vice president of operations for St. Francis Care. Bradley had promised to attend the next opening by the group, Gardner said.
St. Francis Medical Center is nearby but the hospital is not directly affiliated with the new medical group, Gardner said. Many of the care medical group doctors also are on the staff of St. Francis hospital, said Margaret D’Ambrosia, senior vice president of corporate development for the hospital.
The medical group is the first tenant in the five-story building constructed more than four years ago by a private developer.
