University of Tennessee athlete Scott Hartman remained in critical condition at a hospital in Lexington, Ky., one week after being struck in the head by a 16-pound hammer.
Hartman, 19, a 6-1, 206-pound freshman, had completed a practice throw for the hammer event when he was struck on the side of the head by a hammer thrown by another competitor in the Kentucky Relays.
