Strikers Beat Lazers, Clinch Playoff Berth

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Minnesota Strikers clinched a playoff spot in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Eastern Division as they beat the Lazers, 3-2, Friday night.
Tino Lettieri started the game for the Strikers (26-23) but was relieved by Matt Kennedy in goal after he suffered a bruised thigh.
David Byrne opened scoring for the Strikers at 2:28 of the first quarter on an assist from Hector Marinaro.
