A woman was shot to death and a man was seriously wounded when an apparent business dispute erupted into gunfire at a Chinese restaurant in downtown Glendale. Police Sgt. Steve Campbell said the shooting took place at Uncle Lee’s Garden Restaurant in the 100 block of Glendale Boulevard, where Tuai Li Chun, 28, wife of restaurant owner Johnny Soong, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. Soong, wounded in the chest and leg, was in serious condition at St. Joseph Medical Center. Campbell identified the gunman as Wen Lee, 63, of Burbank, a former owner of the restaurant who was angry about details of its sale to the Soongs. Campbell said investigators were having difficulty discovering other facts in the case because of the language barrier.

An article in Friday’s Times incorrectly reported the address of a Glendale restaurant where a fatal shooting occurred. Uncle Lee’s Garden Restaurant is located in the 100 block of Brand Boulevard, not the 100 block of Glendale Boulevard.
