A man kept alive with a Jarvik-70 artificial heart after doctors mistakenly used a heart of the wrong blood type in a transplant has received a second donor heart, hospital officials said. They said that James J. Shocklee, 39, of Scottsdale, Ariz., received the heart in a 6 1/2-hour operation at University Medical Center in Tucson and was in critical but stable condition. Doctors said the first human heart, implanted April 21, came from a donor with type A blood. Shocklee has type O blood.
