3 More Counties Bar Singleton
UKIAH, Calif. — Alameda, Napa and Mendocino counties today added their names to the growing list of places where paroled rapist Lawrence Singleton is not welcome.
Supervisors in all three counties unanimously approved resolutions advising the state Department of Corrections that they will take whatever action is needed to keep Singleton from being paroled inside their borders. Singleton has been the subject of bitter controversy since his April 25 release. He served just over eight years in prison after being convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl and hacking off her arms below the elbow with an ax.
