Starlets to Play Exhibition Softball Game
The Hollywood Starlets will warm up for their summer national tour by playing a charity softball game May 17 against The Times Valley sports section and the “Charles in Charge” television sitcom.
The Valley-based Starlets are composed of models and actresses and managed by Canoga Park’s Lori Tideman, a former Miss San Fernando Valley. Starting in June, the Starlets will play exhibitions at minor league stadiums. Their style is to downplay softball and emphasize show biz.
Among the actors competing from “Charles in Charge” are Willie Aames and Josie Davis.
The game will begin at 2 p.m. at Shoup Park in Woodland Hills. Admission is free. Donations will be solicited on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
