16 Countries to Play in Dunhill Cup Tourney
NEW YORK — Sixteen countries will compete in the Dunhill Cup golf tournament at St. Andrews, Scotland, in October.
The top-seeded countries are Australia, Japan, the United States, Scotland, Ireland, England, Canada and Spain. Rounding out the field are France, Italy, Sweden, the Philippines, Malaysia, New Zealand, Mexico and Zimbabwe.
Each country will be represented by a three-man team. Final player selections will be made in early September. The tournament will be held Oct. 1-4.
The Dunhill Cup is the only golf tournament where countries from Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia compete against one another.
