Guy McIntyre of the San Francisco 49ers was arrested for investigation of wife beating, police said in Burlingame, Calif.
Police were called to the McIntyre home at 1:12 p.m. Friday after reports of a woman screaming, Commander Gary Missel said.
He said McIntyre, a 26-year-old tackle, was arrested at the scene and booked for spousal abuse before posting a $5,000 bond to secure his release.
McIntyre’s wife, Vickie Lynn, 25, suffered minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention, said Missel.
