Tom Petty will begin his U.S. tour with the Heartbreakers band next Tuesday in Tucson, Ariz., as scheduled despite a fire Sunday morning that destroyed the rock singer’s Encino hillside home. After determining that the fire was deliberately set, L.A. Fire Department officials said they are conducting an arson investigation. The only area of the house spared in the fire, which cause an estimated $1- million damage, was the basement studio where Petty stores his guitars and various original master recordings. The first leg of the tour includes stops June 6 at the Pacific Amphitheatre and June 8, 9, 11 and 12 at the Universal Amphitheatre.
