Pat Boone thinks he could bring a “fresh approach” to the scandal-wracked PTL ministry’s television show--if he were offered the job of host, that is. Boone, in Durham, N.C., for the Duke Children’s Classic benefit program, told the Raleigh News and Observer last weekend that he hadn’t been contacted by PTL about taking a leadership role in the Fort Mill, S.C.-based ministry, despite the publicized wishes of contributors eager for him to replace the Rev. Jerry Falwell as its head.
