A former Sacramento TV reporter has filed a $1-million suit against KCRA-TV alleging that her firing last month while on maternity leave was a breach of her contract. Sue Pearson, who had been with the station since 1979, filed the suit against Kelly Broadcasting Co., owner-partner Jon Kelly and general manager Don Saraceno. Before beginning maternity leave on Feb. 28, she was medical reporter for the station and was a regional Emmy winner as hostess of the station’s former “Look Who’s Talking” variety talk show. She said her current contract ran through June 30, 1988.
