Creative Computer Widens Loss for 2nd Quarter
Calabasas-based Creative Computer reported a loss of $418,000 in its second quarter ended Feb. 28. A year ago the company lost $285,000. Sales rose 7%, to $898,000. The loss per share was 4 cents, against a loss of 1 cent a year ago.
For the six months, Creative lost $904,000, or 9 cents a share, against $161,000, or 2 cents a share a year ago. Sales fell to $1.6 million against $2.3 million last year.
The company, which makes equipment used to record laboratory test results, attributed its losses to a weak market and distribution problems.
