Templar Hill was declared out of the Belmont Stakes by trainer Paul Seefeldt.
Seefeldt said the Maryland-bred 3-year-old, who ran fifth in the Kentucky Derby, will take time off and come back in the fall.
Templar Hill skipped the Preakness Stakes to run in the Grade II Jersey Derby, in which he finished a distant third.
