Bravo, Sharon Gless! Her performance as the alcoholic Christine Cagney on the season finale of “Cagney & Lacey” should put her right at the top of contenders come Emmy time. Her portrayal moved me to tears often in the two-part episode. I’ve always thought she was a fine actress--how fine I didn’t know until these particular shows! Thank you, Ms. Gless, for two of the best hours I’ve seen on TV this year.
