Local News in Brief : Chatsworth Collision Injures Moorpark Man
A Moorpark driver was critically injured Monday in a head-on collision in Chatsworth, Los Angeles police said. The man, Wayne Painter, 52, underwent surgery for chest injuries at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, authorities said.
Police will seek felony charges against the driver of the other car, Richard Dradi, 27, of Simi Valley, who was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol when his car spun out of control onto the wrong side of Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Santa Susana Pass Road about 9:30 a.m., Officer Lee Holloman said.
Dradi was not arrested, however, because he was being treated for cuts and a broken arm at Northridge Hospital, where he was reported in serious but stable condition.
