The California Lottery “Big Spin” grand prize grew to $2.4 million but eluded nine spinners. No one won more than $100,000, breaking a 10-week string during which at least one contestant won $1 million or more. But three spinners doubled their winnings by landing on doubles spots on the 100-slot wheel. Ben Rodriguez of Barstow doubled a $50,000 spin to $100,000, Manuel Mireles of Maywood doubled $25,000 to $50,000, and Floyd Miller of Pasadena doubled a $10,000 win to $20,000. Joseph Lee of Rancho Mirage also won $100,000. Steve Moreno of Sacramento and Rosa Maria Rodriguez of Los Angeles each won $50,000. Two San Francisco Bay Area residents won $25,000 each--Thomas Taylor of Sunnyvale and Jenckhong Wang of Concord. Karen Ferraro of Garden Grove won $10,000.
