Reflagging of Oil Tankers
Here’s a scenario:
Our hostages have been held in Lebanon for the release of the 17 terrorists held prisoner in Kuwait.
Headline: “United States flags Kuwaiti tankers and gives them military escort in the Persian Gulf.
Followed later by a surprise headline: “Kuwait releases 17 terrorist prisoners.”
And then another surprise: “Hegbolah party orders release of all American hostages held in Lebanon.”
Is it possible that a deal of this kind was made? If not, why is so risky a venture undertaken without some great reward? Certainly not only for oil and a possibility of pushing us into another (unnecessary) war.
