Murray Scores 34 in Pro-Am Victory

San Diego State’s Gerald Murray had 34 points and 25 rebounds to lead Courageous Endurance to a 145-125 victory over The Crown in the Supreme Court San Diego Pro-Am basketball league Saturday at the Memorial Recreation Center in Balboa Park.

The Los Angeles Clippers’ Steffond Johnson, a former Aztec, also had 34 points for Courageous Endurance (4-1). Zack Weaver of Athletes in Action scored 34 for The Crown (4-1).

In Saturday’s other game, Deshang Weaver scored 35 as Understanding (1-4) beat The Truth, 139-129. Former Morse High School players Sean Bell (39 points) and Ray Epton (25) led The Truth (0-5).
