Motorist, 57, Killed in Granada Hills Crash : Local News in Brief
A 57-year-old Canyon Country woman was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision on a Granada Hills street, authorities said.
The victim was southbound on Balboa Boulevard near Rinaldi Street about 9 a.m. when the car she was driving crossed over into the northbound lanes and collided with an 18-wheel truck, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Roy McFall.
The name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was withheld pending notification of relatives. It was not known what caused the woman’s car to veer into the opposing traffic lanes, police said. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
