Lawmaker Misses FAA Ceremony; Flight Late

Associated Press

T. Allan McArtor’s congressman missed this week’s swearing-in of the new head of the Federal Aviation Administration because the lawmaker’s flight to Washington was 90 minutes late.

Rep. Don Sundquist (R-Tenn.) said Tuesday that his flight from Memphis to Washington on Monday afternoon became a nearly 3 1/2-hour ordeal. Normally, he said, it would have taken him two hours to arrive in the capital.
