The 71-year-old owner of a San Marcos fast-food restaurant was arrested Monday on suspicion of child molestation, El Cajon police reported.

Robert Julian Zingheim of El Cajon was arrested at noon at the Arby’s on West San Marcos Boulevard, police said.

He was to be booked into San Diego County Jail on suspicion of felony child molestation and unlawful sexual intercourse, spokeswoman Lynne Derringer said. Bail was to be set at $100,000.

Police searched Zingheim’s camper in the restaurant parking lot and his home on Emerald Street in El Cajon, Derringer said, adding that photographs, videotapes, magazines and sex paraphernalia were confiscated.

On May 29, El Cajon police had arrested Zingheim on suspicion of five counts of child molestation, but the San Diego County district attorney’s office declined to prosecute, police said. Detectives located more victims and obtained and served arrest and search warrants.

Police did not say how many children were involved but believe there are more victims who have not been located or have failed to report the crime.
