U.S. Ships in Persian Gulf
The reasoning of this Administration never ceases to amaze me.
After listening to the Iran-contra hearings and all the lengthy agonizing over the release of the hostages as the focal point for the whole disastrous operation, how can we sail so blithely into the Persian Gulf and sustain an initial loss of life of four helicopter personnel (July 31) the very first week?
I might add, the hostages were in the Mideast by their own choice (and risk) whereas the military personnel are in the Persian Gulf under orders of the commander in chief.
