Police in Visalia arrested 15 people wanted for investigation of various crimes in a sting operation that was billed as a Las Vegas gambling junket. The suspects were arrested as they stepped off a shuttle bus for what they thought was a flight to Las Vegas. Letters touting a free trip to Las Vegas, $100 in cash and a chance to win a new car were sent by WSA Charter Service to about 1,000 people wanted for various felony and misdemeanor offenses, but about half of them were returned because the people had moved. WSA, the unsuspecting junket winners found out, stood for warrant services and arrest.
