The Rev. Frank White will take over at the pulpit Sunday at Capistrano Valley Church of Religious Science, 32261 Camino Capistrano D-106 in San Juan Capistrano. White will be the guest speaker while the church’s ministers are on vacation. His topic will be “Look Who’s Laughing.” The service is at 11 a.m. Infant care is provided. Rabbi Lawrence Goldmark of Temple Beth Ohr and president of the Orange County Board of Rabbis has been chosen to meet with Pope John Paul II Sept. 16 in Los Angeles. Goldmark will participate with 19 other rabbis and leaders of the religions of Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism in a meeting at the Japan America Theatre. Goldmark was invited to participate by Archbishop Roger Mahony.

The Rev. Edward J. Caldwell, founding pastor of Laguna Presbyterian Church, will leave the congregation to become cruise chaplain on the SS Rotterdam.
