Schroeder’s Goal Gives U.S. Water Polo Win

Steve Schroeder scored the game-winning goal with 3:08 left to give the United States an 8-7 win over Brazil in the World Junior Water Polo Championships at Sao Paulo, Brazil, Saturday.

Schroeder is a graduate of Corona del Mar High School and plays at USC. Jeff Oeding, of Newport Beach, added a goal for the U.S. team, which plays Canada for sixth place today.
