Grossmont Fills El Modena’s Bye

El Modena High School’s football team, faced with a possible bye on Oct. 10 after a scheduling mix-up, has filled the date with a nonleague game against Grossmont of La Mesa, to be played at Valley Stadium in El Cajon.

The Vanguards had originally scheduled Patrick Henry of San Diego, but a mix-up under a new coach resulted in Patrick Henry scheduling another opponent on that date.
