A Simi Valley man apparently slipped while wading in pools above Bridal Veil Falls and fell approximately 600 feet to his death, a Yosemite National Park spokeswoman said. Park visitors alerted rangers, and Kenneth C. Sorensen, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the falls and streams in the park are quite low at this time of the year, the spokeswoman said, the area at the top of the falls appeared to be very slippery. Sorensen had been working as a carpenter in the area.
