El Salvador Defeats Guatemala in Soccer

Jose Maria Rivas scored on a penalty kick with three minutes remaining Wednesday night to give the national team of El Salvador a 1-0 victory over the national team of Guatemala in an international soccer exhibition before a crowd of 17,625 at the Coliseum.

The penalty kick was awarded to El Salvador after forwrd Salvador Coreas was tripped in the penalty area by Guatemalan defender Sergio Rivera.
