About fifty crippled victims of Lebanon’s 12-year civil conflict walked or rode in wheelchairs across the line separating Beirut’s Christian and Muslim sectors in a demonstration for peace. “Enough war, enough killing, enough violence,” the demonstrators chanted as they crossed the so-called Green Line. Hundreds of peace advocates--of many faiths--joined in the 119-mile-long march for peace in Lebanon, which is to end today. An estimated 130,000 people have been killed and at least 30,000 disabled since 1975.
