Doctors said the health of the quintuplets born to a New York City couple has improved and they expect all five to survive. “We believe things will continue to improve for the children,” said Rosalie Kershaw, spokeswoman for Long Island Jewish Hospital. “Although it is early, we do expect all to pull through.” The three girls and two boys were born Thursday to Angelo Cangialosi, 26, and his wife, Alice, 28, who had been treated with a fertility drug. The children were born after only 29 weeks of pregnancy, and none weighed more than three pounds. Nicholas, Allison and Jennifer were all in stable condition; Angelo and Ellen remained on ventilators to help them breathe and were listed in guarded condition.
