Terry Mims, a former two-time national Golden Glove champion, won a unanimous 10-round decision over former world heavyweight champion Leon Spinks in a cruiserweight bout Tuesday night.

Mims, 35, raised his record to 19-12, as he consistently landed combinations against Spinks, who is 34 and weighs 210 pounds.

Spinks’ record fell to 18-7-2. Spinks had won three previous fights this year.

Spinks won the world heavyweight title by defeating Muhammad Ali on Feb. 15, 1978, before losing the title to Ali nine months later.
