“L. A. Law” is my favorite show....

“L. A. Law” is my favorite show. As a psychotherapist, however, I was disturbed by the season premiere in which Stuart and Anne sought the advice of therapists. In an attempt to be funny, the show represented therapists as complete weirdos and idiots. For such an intelligently written show, its humor sometimes misses the boat. The show would be stronger if the writers let the humor come from within the main characters and their rapport with each other.
