City Section Football Highlights : PAC 8 LEAGUE
University 13, Sylmar 12--University stopped Sylmar’s Robert Augustus on a two-point conversion attempt midway through the fourth quarter to preserve the win at Sylmar and a place in the City 2-A playoffs. The Warriors (6-3, 5-2) clinched third place.
With Sylmar trailing, 13-6, the Spartans closed to within a point when Augustus ran in from the two-yard line with 6:54 left in the fourth quarter. The Spartans elected to go for two and failed.
Sylmar (4-4-1, 3-4) scored its first touchdown on Jerome Casey’s 97-yard kickoff return following a University touchdown drive that opened the second half.
