Canada said it will impose a high tariff on South Korea’s popular Hyundai cars as a result of a preliminary investigation that found they were being “dumped” on the market, or sold at unfairly low prices. A government spokesman said that at current prices, the duty would be 36%. The decision follows an investigation into a complaint last July made by General Motors Corp. of Canada and Ford Motor Co. of Canada.
