COMING ATTRACTIONS

Four congressmen who share a town house once turned down an interview to avoid publicity; now their situation may become a TV sitcom. Inspired by House Democrats Charles E. Schumer (N.Y), Marty Russo (Ill.), Leon E. Panetta (Calif.) and George Miller (Calif.)--friends who use the town house during the week and go home to their families on weekends--Janis Berman, wife of Rep. Howard L. Berman (D-Calif.) wrote a script tentatively titled “Capitol Hill,” and sold it to producer Jerry Weintraub. The household will differ from that of Schumer & Co., Berman said. In the show, one congressman will be from California, another from New York, one from the Midwest and another from the South. The script calls for one of the four congressmen to be black and another to be a congresswoman.
