East Berlin officials on Saturday released the last two of 22 people arrested after police raided a Lutheran community center and accused five people there of dissident activities.

The last to be released were Wolfgang Rueddenklau and Bert Schlegel, both workers at the “Environment Library” housed in a Lutheran church community group’s offices.

They appeared at the church Saturday and said before they were freed that they were told they face charges of belonging to an organization that has “illegal intentions.” If convicted they could be sentenced to five years in prison.
