Monterey Park : Mayor to Be Installed
Rep. George Brown (D-Colton), a former mayor of Monterey Park, will administer the oath of office when Christopher F. Houseman, 28, is installed as mayor at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the City Council chambers. The ceremony will precede a reception at Baby Doe’s Matchless Mine restaurant. Houseman, who was elected to the City Council in April, 1986, will succeed Cam Briglio under a policy that rotates the position of mayor among council members.
