Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Elks Offer Scholarships for Handicapped Youths
Elks Lodge No. 1993 has introduced a new scholarship program for handicapped students.
Scholarships will be $2,000 per year. Handicapped high school students and adults who wish to pursue a college degree may apply. Applications are available only at Elks Lodge No. 1993, 1451 N. Brea Blvd., Fullerton, Calif. 92632.
Deadline for submitting applications is March 28. Applications will be judged on financial need, school background, educational goals and character of the applicant, according to Richard Brewster, a member of the Elks scholarship committee.
