Patrick M. Williamson has been appointed president of a newly formed company, Triumph Releasing Corp., a subsidiary of Columbia Pictures Entertainment of New York.
In the United States and Canada it will furnish administrative services to the distribution executives of Columbia Pictures and Tri-Star Pictures. Elsewhere, Triumph will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of Columbia and Tri-Star films.
A longtime Columbia executive, Williamson most recently was executive vice president of the entertainment business sector of Coca-Cola Co., which combined last month with Tri-Star Pictures.
