Golden West College played an impressive second half and went on to defeat Pasadena, 95-54, in a South Coast Conference game Friday at Pasadena.

Golden West led by only 39-31 at the half before outscoring Pasadena, 56-23, in the second half. It was the 18th consecutive victory for Golden West (20-1, 4-0), the top-ranked team in the state.

“We picked up the tempo and got the running game going,” said Dick Stricklen, Golden West coach. “We started to run our offense instead of standing around and waiting to get started like we did in the first half.”
