“Broadcast News” writer-director James L. Brooks will one of several successful film and TV people at a UCLA Extension $75-a-ticket program Saturday discussing how they handle rejection in the business. The day-long seminar, “Meeting Rejection Head-on,” will be conducted on the UCLA Westwood campus by Redondo Beach psychologist Andrea Schulman, who created the program to help both the starters and the long-suffering in Hollywood learn how to deal with bad news. Among the others on the panel with Brooks are director-producer Tony Bill, casting director Mike Fenton, film director Bobby Roth, writer Anna Hamilton Phelan and actor Nick Mancuso.
