Local News in Brief : 6 Arrested in Gang Fight
Six people were arrested and a small cache of weapons, drugs and stolen goods were seized when police investigated gunfire during a suspected turf war between rival gangs in Los Angeles’ Mid-Wilshire district, police said.
No one was injured during the shooting Wednesday night outside 1841 S. Wilton Place, Sgt. Paul Mock said.
Officers said they saw someone shooting into the home from a pickup truck and detained the two occupants of the vehicle. A revolver found in the truck was confiscated.
Police searched the house and allegedly found 30 grams of “rock” cocaine, four handguns, a pellet gun, sawed-off rifle, about $1,000 cash, six car stereos, four car stereo amplifiers, a VCR and the interior of a stolen 1980 Cadillac, Mock said.
