GOP’s Weicker to Seek Fourth Senate Term

FARMINGTON, Conn. —
Sen. Lowell P. Weicker Jr. (R-Conn.) announced Thursday that he will seek reelection to a fourth term, saying he wants to continue to fight for those “on the outs” of society.
Weicker, 56, a liberal Republican often at odds with President Reagan, said he hopes to be reelected in November by the largest margin of his Senate career.
