Italians Seize Heroin

MILAN, Italy — Italian police said they seized 44 pounds of pure heroin with a street value of $33 million Thursday when they arrested 15 people on charges of involvement in the kidnaping of an Italian woman.
They said they believe that the group used ransom money gained from kidnapings to finance an illicit drug smuggling racket.
