Valley Women Move Into First-Place Tie
The Valley College women’s basketball team avenged an earlier one-point loss to College of the Desert and moved into a first-place tie with the visiting team in the Southern California Conference with a 74-63 victory Friday.
Valley, ranked third in the state, led the entire game. The Monarchs (27-2, 9-1 in conference play) were 9 of 11 from the free-throw line and outrebounded second-ranked College of the Desert, 51-35.
