Lovely Christmas
We were intrigued by Jerry Hulse’s article, “Winter in New England” (Nov. 1). As a result, we asked our “friendly travel agent” to try to book us at any one of the three. Booked, booked and booked were the responses. However, a cancellation occurred at the Governor’s Inn, Ludlow, Vt., and we took it.
Although your article made it sound so inviting, nothing can actually compare to being there, and the warmth of Deedy and Charlie and the others. It was one lovely gesture or surprise after another. Almost everyone there for the Christmas holidays had seen your article. We were from the nearest spot--Connecticut--but others we met came from California and from Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan.
Thank you for helping to send us on one of the best times we have ever had.
