Art
The San Diego County Public Arts Advisory Council is looking for a few good buildings, walls and parks. Not to rent, mind you, but as sites for permanent murals or sculptures.
The council, the county’s official arts agency, has a pot of community enhancement money it plans to distribute to the winners of a forthcoming art competition. The catch is they only have two sites so far. Rachel’s Women’s Center downtown and the county’s Department of Social Services office in Chula Vista have already petitioned the panel for art to brighten their drab environments. But more locations are needed. Interested parties should contact the council’s Carol Hobson at 694-3211.
