Woman Killed Crossing Street to Get to Mall
A 44-year-old woman jaywalking across Bristol Street to South Coast Plaza was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday, Costa Mesa police said.
Costa Mesa Police Lt. Cliff McBride said Diane Hope Guidici of Costa Mesa was walking across the street near the intersection of Bristol Street and Town Center Drive when she was struck by a car driven by Maria C. Reynoso, 29, of Claremont. She died at the scene.
McBride said Reynoso, who was driving about 30 m.p.h. at the time of the 12:45 p.m. accident, was not cited.
